Dined here Friday night with friends for restaurant week. It was our first time here. The meat on the grill smelled amazing. We also ordered the fried dill pickle chips and crab cakes for appetizers. We ordered off the restaurant week menu. The She crab soup had good flavor and lots of crab meat. The surf and turf filet and lobster tail were outstanding. Ordered my steak extra rare and it was just right. Could cut it with a butter knife. The lobster tail was good. The mashed potatoes were from scratch. The key lime pie was good. We met the owners on our way out and they were full of hospitality and made us feel welcome. We will be back. I gave it 4 stars because the music was loud and it was hard to have conversation our friends.

I'm not 100% sure what to put here. We came here with a group of family and had some mixed feelings. One thing we could agree on was that it was too loud. We were seated outside and the speakers connected to the TVs inside were blasting at us. As such, the audio didn't even match the TVs that were facing us. Second, everyone had to yell to be able to hear each other and so the other tables also had to yell and soon everyone was yelling. We asked for it to be turned down so they made sure the outdoor TVs were muted but that didn't do anything for the problem. Anyway, on to the food! I got a burger, which is against my policy of not ordering x-type food at a z-type restaurant (ie, don't get spaghetti from a Mexican restaurant) but I wasn't in a seafood mood. My wife and mom split a seafood pasta with a funky name that I can't recall. The pasta was underwhelming but a very good size and nothing really wrong with it, save there was a shell in it. I did sample a couple bites and it wasn't anything special unless you're just really a shrimp lover. My burger, however, was possibly the best I've had in Charleston. I'm as surprised as you are. I got the anchor. First, it was massive. Second, it was hot (this is pretty dang important for burgers and sometimes overlooked, especially with a larger group of people). Third, it was delicious. I barely even like onions and I didn't pick any off like I had planned to. I had egg yolk running down my arm and my beard tasted like onions and mustard for the rest of the day. It was a mess, but it was oh-so-good. Price wasn't bad either, though the side wasn't included if I recall correctly. All in all, I won't take people here if they're craving the area's best seafood but if there's a need for a burger in this part of town, I'd definitely come back.

Best fried pickles in charleston. They really retain that good pickle taste rather than taste like fried cucumbers. Daisy chain tacos were awesome. Steak was the best but the seared tuna was great as well. Wife's alligator grits were off the hook. They really know how to make stone ground yellow grits. Seasoned perfectly. Will come back often.

We went to Finz to have a few cocktails after dinner at the Publick House across the street. They have a sign on the bar that says $3 shots, with a list of the available liquors. I asked the bartender for one shot two ways, she said okay. A bit later, I asked for the same thing again. When I received my bill, I had been charged for 4 shots. When I told the bartender, Allie, that I only had two of the $3 shots, she replied that the $3 shots were "half shots" and I had requested 2 full shots split 4 ways. It was CLEARLY advertised as $3 shots, not $3 HALF shots. It's not the money, but the principle. You have upset a local, and I will tell everyone that this place is awful and I will never go there again and they shouldn't either.

I often overlook Finz with so many other options on Coleman and its close proximity to Shem Creek it just doesn't get brought up as a go to spot among friends very often. With all that being said, it really is a nice spot for live music and some of the better karaoke singers I've heard in the area. If its a really busy night its sometimes hard to get service at the bar but I guess that's an issue at many bars. The food is good, not amazing but definitely good.

Great casual bar with surprisingly upscale menu offerings and a nice beer selection. Bartender is really friendly and helpful at explaining beers. Live music pretty regularly and regulars are friendly to an out of towner. They're making some renovations so I'm definitely checking it out again when I'm back in town.

My daughter and I were in town for a couple of nights and thought we'd try some place new. Atmosphere was average but was quite happy with our food. Started with the she crab soup which was really good, with just a smidge to much sherry. Then we had crab legs, very nice. Then we had some seared tuna, oh yea. And my daughter had a Moscow mule which was delish. We will eat here again next time we're in town.

Went here for a few drinks around 10pm on a Saturday night and we were pleasantly surprised! The name made me think it was some sort of uber-touristy place and that was not the case at all. All locals at the bar and a very friendly, attentive bartender and staff. We didn't try the food (we had already eaten) but we hear the brunch is to die for! Definitely will make this honey hole a regular stop when we are on Mt. P!

The food was just okay. I ordered the open faced pork special. The pork had a very strong smoky flavor. They were out of spinach for one special and the Couples special of two special entrees for $30 was not even a deal. The atmosphere was laid back and bar like. They have outdoor seating as well.

More a bar than a grill. Went for brunch today. Had to leave before we ordered. It was way too noisy (TV's blaring plus you're sitting right next to Coleman Blvd), could smell smokers sitting behind us (ugh! Why do restaurant owners allow this?), and the table was cheap rickety wrought iron. And since the service was so slow, it gave us an opportunity to bail out and find somewhere better to eat which we did. Too bad because my wife said she heard the food was good here. But if I wanted to eat in a noisy smokey sports bar, I could find plenty of them around with a better atmosphere.

The food is absolutely terrible. And the majority of the waiters are extremely rude. My waiter last time was Clearly on drugs as too, seemed to be the bar tender ( who was also extremely rude). The owner, ( a woman) was very rude to my girlfriend on one occasion. I used to love the place. It had a good atmosphere. But they have replaced most of their old staff ( who were awesome) with young people and drug addicts. Over all, the staff is rude, the food is bad, and the people are just shady. Will not be returning. Triangle char bar and Coleman public house are much better options for dinner or Sunday brunch. Both very close to Finz and much better establishments!

I have ordered take out from Quickfoxes and it's never been a disappointment. Especially the seafood Burrito! Until today! Went in to check it out for a bite and a drink. We parked outback walked in and didn't see a hostess and kinds stood for a while. We decided tongi sit outside and found a table and watched a waiter look at us. I then went inside to make sure we were not missed. The bar tender stared at me and still no help. 15 minutes passed and we got up and walked out. I was hugely disappointed.

We stopped here because we had the dog and needed a place with out door seating. It really had the feel of a college bar to me and that's not what we were looking for, but thought we'd give it a try anyway. The bloody mary was very nice. The ceasar salad was fresh and basic. Nothing wrong with it. The seafood burrito was not good at all. You could smell the fishyness way before it was delivered to our table and I was not a fan of the cream sauce at all. Way overpowering. With so many other great options in the area, I don't see us going back.

We went here looking for a good seafood and experience for my visiting family. We were seated promptly an. Drink orders and food orders taken then forgotten. Te atmosphere was that of a typical college town, not family friendly. It was loud with the tv turned up. The food was absolutely not fresh, salad was limp and brown, I had the Tina tacos in tuna and shrimp. The shrimp was fine but the tuna was the worst seared tuna I've seen. I tried a bite of she crab soup which was a mess of brown liquid and giant chunks of celery!!! I love she crab soup and get it from many places around charleston and this was the worst. It was like milk water bay seasoning and celery!!!! The waiter had to be asked at the end of the lunch to fill our drinks which had been empty for a long time. This has to be the worst experience I've had in trying to find a good seafood spot. I told the manager who was appalled and asked to give us a gift card to come back, I declined we would never eat from that kitchen again.

Finz has become an after church Sunday staple! We have been about 4 times now and always leave complementing the food and loving the service! We have only done the Brunch with Bottomless Mimosas and it's fabulous! Must Haves: Breakfast Burrito, Breakfast Scrambler (with house smoked pulled pork..yum!), Sweet Potato fries, Fried Pickle Chips, and Buffalo Shrimp Tacos Service is attentive and friendly, they never let your bottomless mimosa empty before offering your a top off...LOVE FINZ!

Finz has quickly turned into one of our go-to bars/restaurants, along with the Dog & Duck and Juanita Greenberg's. It's a great little place, kinda divey, but with really great food, and a small but very solid beer list. The $2 tacos on Fridays are amazing, their burgers are great, as are their wings. I had their pulled pork at an oyster roast that they hosted for our apartment complex, and it was delicious. The staff is super friendly, and they're always happy to accommodate our son, and the dog, when he's with us.

Haven't been when music - perhaps it's good for a bar -but not worth it for food - nothing special, priced too high for what it is. Ordered fried shrimp and got less than 6 alone on a plate - sadly, that was my meal! My friend ordered another meal - and was sadly disappointed in what she got as well. We went to use a coupon - and even then we paid too much for what we got. Go for the fun bar and music, but not for the food!

This was a quick pick for an after work happy hour. While the wait staff was great I found the happy hour specials and menu to be very limited. What we did order was great...homemade chip and dill cucumber dip. Outdoor seating was ok but very noisy from traffic on Coleman..but that is something that can't be avoided.

The good. On Fridays Finz has $2 Coronas and $2 tacos. Usually businesses don't have awesome deals like this on a Friday night so it was pretty sweet to find such a cheap spot. Also, Finz has a pretty nice atmosphere and outdoor seating which is great for a beautiful evening like the one we enjoyed. The bad. Unfortunately there was a lot of bad. First, our server was just rude and not very nice. She interrupted us a few times mid sentence and then would run off or just be short with our party. Second, the food was sub-par but it's hard to complain much when you are only paying $2 per taco. We had the shrimp and steak tacos and they were both kind of mehhh. The beer was also kind of warm so maybe you have to pay extra for them to refrigerate it? I don't know. Overall, maybe we got it on an off night but Finz was below-average to average with the price of the food and the nice outdoor patio being it's only saving grace.

Went with some friends and had a good time. All of the food was good but a bit slow. The hickory smoked wings were almost as good as Sticky Fingers' wings. Especially liked the ones with old bay spice. The shrimp and grits app was a different spin on the low country classic. Very tasty and substantial enough to have as an entree. The baked potato salad is a must have side. Going back on Friday for $2 coronas and tacos.

Great little spot on the mainland to grab a bite to eat. Not too divey but not a place you feel like you have to dress up. The bar area had a nice vibe on a Sunday afternoon. Our waitress was very attentive and had great suggestions. All in all a solid place for when I'm down in SC.

Nice little casual place. Outside eating area with umbrella shade. Live music occasionally. Had the flounder sandwich and sweet potato fries, everything was great. Fish tasted really fresh. Great lunch spot. Yum!

Craft beer, good selection coming from a beer city USA resident. Amazing food and service. Open on Christmas, which is the only place we could find. She crab soup was great so were the seafood pinwheels.

Food was delicious just wish there was more for the price. The waitress was even skeptical when we ordered and didn't get a side for a extra $2.50. We left hungry and $30 bucks lighter for two people eating. The service was good though.

Note: I only had drinks on this first visit. If the food lives up to the promise of the menu, there is a strong likelihood of adding a 4th star. I get the impression this place shows different personalities, depending on the day and time you visit. My visit was an early Saturday night and the atmosphere was of a very casual watering hole: a place where local regulars can relax, away from the masses that jam the Shem Creek scene -- just a block away, and where low-key tourists could appreciate a gem off the beaten path. A former gas station, the front "walls" are actually large garage doors that slide open to create a pleasant indoor-outdoor mix. The decor echoed the fishing and boating scene of the neighborhood. The singer on the patio provided decent covers of classic R&B and rock grooves. The half dozen flat screens showed a couple different sports games, (They seem to have a full roster of satellite feeds.) and the screens were positioned in a manner that it would be hard not to have a clear view of at least one of them, even if the place was packed. The impressive menu is heavily focused on seafood but there are enough turf offerings to seriously interest my non-fish-eating girlfriend. The service was friendly and competent. The bathrooms were clean. We'll be going back.

Great place for good ole deep fried bar food like deep fried pickles, mushrooms ect...or entree, did not disappoint. If you want quiet then ask for the booths otherwise the acoustics are a tad loud. I had the seafood sampler with grilled shrimp, scallops and flounder, side was okra/tomato (very very good). My daughter had the seafood burrito WOW.

So many times passing this place, one time actually pulling into the parking lot but unable to find a spot, I was really wanting to give this place a shot. At the time, there was no word on Yelp (props to Steven P for getting the FTR). When I finally got a chance to try the place, it was an okay experience. On entry, the place definitely has a bar feel (not what I expected from the exterior). There's ample bar space and it was full on a Sunday afternoon. I would come back for the bar. Outdoor seating in decent weather is a good option too, but scenery is limited (Coleman Blvd, parking lot, etc) The drinks options were fine, nothing spectacular. The food was good. The wife had the Avocado BLT. It was a classic BLT but with a healthy portion of avocado. It was served on a croissant. She ate it all. I had the Grilled Shrimp and Scallops. Good, but not great. The shrimp could have been a little fresher, the scallops were about the size of a 50 cent piece, and juicy. It ended up being a $58 night, two beers each, no apps, with 20% tip. Service was excellent. Just a little too much for the quality. Not bad enough to recommend against. Finally, a storm was brewing outside, but it was not too hot, so we opted to sit out there. It was a bit windy but overall, it worked out. As I sat there, I looked across the street and saw the Coleman Public House. Hmmmm, I thought. That looks like what I was expecting here. Stay tuned for that story....
